End of 2017 Predictions

I said we would win it in August when we had a poll / thread and I am sticking with that. All teams will have rough patches, at least we are still able to pick up points during ours.

Hoping for Coddington, a striker and maybe a utility player to add depth in January and then obviously we need to avoid injuries to our four key players of Manny, Pearson, Wedge and Holroyd

With a couple of game changing signings, a lot of luck with injuries and suspensions and big change in mindset we could still be a top 5 side. The fear for me is we sign a decent striker but keep the same formation and style of play. I can't see any striker of conf. or league 2 standard being good enough to get the goals that wil keep us challenging without a change of attitude. Hence I think as other teams strengthen I think we may slip out of play off contention. Let's hope I am wrong; on a positive note I quite often am.

As of now, 82% of posters (including me) think we'll finish between 3 and 7.

I suppose looking at our gates we would hope for better, but we don't know how much everyone else chucks at promotion. Keates said we are not top five budget wise, but I suspect the top five budgets aren't going to finish in the top five positions (Eastleigh almost certainly)

I can see a couple of ways our fortunes could change dramatically. Firstly we could make a Mike Lake style mega signing in the middle of the park, and secondly the important teams might fail.

Tranmere have too many options to likely fail. I would put money on Macc stalling due to limited resources. Aldershot probably can't afford injuries, Dover are limited. Dagenham probably haven't got the funds to strengthen.
