I don't think Kelly is good enough to justify such a change. IMO our creation should come from the wings; we need better players there.
Agree. It is noticeable that we ship more goals with Kelly in the centre of midfield; play becomes more open. Our most dour but effective displays have been using 442 with Wright and Wedgebury in the middle. To create more we ideally need a player like Wright who can also pass , more attacking wide players and strikers who can put themselves about a bit and create from nothing. In addition to a keeper and a third centre back that can’t all be afforded and found in January . So it’s a hope that at best, next summer gives us a chance. In the meantime , to create funds we need to offload as a priority Boden and Mackreth as high earners, and also Dunn, Hurst, Marx, and possibly Kelly. Once the two year contracts of Jennings and Roberts run out in 2019 we can look to procuring more attacking fulll backs. In August 2019 we would then finally have a table topping team looking like this :

Smith
Pearson

Rutherford

Rutherford? He’s finished now, it’s unlikely he’ll be here next season.

That's a Masterplan if ever there was!
Have you told Dean Keates about it?

Altogether that is 14 players that Keates has signed who you think are not good enough for the starting X1,do you trust keates to bring in the right players in the future?

The Wrexham AFC twitter has Rutherford down for 10 assists this season.

I'll take their word for it.

It's easy to find faults in players when you alter facts.
