Default Scott Boden

In my opinion since he's had a run in the side he's looked decent. The system and style we play doesn't help him as he's not the strongest but he has a decent touch and controls the ball. He can't go passed a player but he wins a fair share of headers and rarely gives it away.

Yesterday in horrendous conditions I thought he did ok and I didn't mind him getting mom although Miller looked decent. I'm sure many will disagree but we need a wide man to put decent balls in with some quality and a central midfielder to boss the game (not sure about Akil Wright). We can spend all the budget on a striker but i don' t think it'll make a huge difference at this stage

He's not the 'answer' but I also think he has a part to play this season. I know some people have already written him off.

I agree EnglishRed. He may not have set the world alight so far, but none of our strikers have. I put this down mainly to the aimless long balls and crosses we play on the field, week in, week out.

Holroyd seems to manage OK; a player without a great scoring record.

Boden is so easily physically dominated it's daft. Miller has shown you don't need to be a giant to keep from being pushed around. I'm afraid a 'few nice touches' every match doesn't cut it with me. Someone should let him know what pass-and-move is too; he stopped when he had released the ball so often yesterday.

He is now drifting in and out of games as opposed to being constantly out of games (until recently). He has a nice touch, but always seems physically shattered. He also sadly has no pace, physical presence, or ability in the air. His goals per minute record is abysmal . He is not the answer , and those who say that he is are showing themselves to be willing to put up with mediocrity at best. That attitude is now one of the club’s biggest problems - a certain sort of fan who puts up with anything.

He did however beat 2 Macc defenders to score with a header!
Just saying like

Sorry but I don't agree with this at all.

For his size, Boden really holds the ball up well, and doesn't get out muscled by the big bruising CB's in the league easily. He wins his fair share of headers also, considering he is not the tallest of forwards.

Miller played well. I really like him. He should have scored though. 2 one on ones and the one we're he cut inside and his header that hit the bar that boden scored.
He looks a good prospect. When does he go back?

Boden got a big part to play but zero muscle up there. So definitely need a striker. We get on those play offs and it's anyone's.
