Police and steward it properly and no need to give them the home stand.
My understanding is that there is no requirement for us to hand over the tech end for any fixtures but NWP have suggested higher policing costs passed onto the club, similar to the bubble arrangements for Chester.

Ita pathetic that 6000 or so people can't attend a football match peacefully but it's also pathetic that NWP are unable to police such a small fixture correctly.

The fact is they will pay the same price as Wxm fans pay in that stand, but hey lets not miss another opportunity to rubbish the club.

Perhaps it's a compromise.

There is no doubt we have some serious history with Tranmere.

Chester & Tranmere will be defined as 'high risk' and subject to special measures.

Far, far safer option in our limited 3 sided stadium (and that's the underlying problem) is to place the large away support in the Tech End which enables far better control both inside and outside the stadium.

NWP will cover it but it would make perfect sense that if Tranmere fans were housed in the Yale Stand life would be far more difficult and probably far more costly in policing charges - not forgetting that we wouldn't get the income from the extra 600 ticket sales the provision of the Tech End stand provides.

And just for the record I am a ST holder in the Tech End so I am one of those to be relocated.

Not sure about the pricing being a ST holder but as others have suggested - the £16 probably represents the Tech End ticket price that home fans normally have to pay for that part of the stadium.

Finally, what is the current capacity of the Tech End ?
I would think it is more than 1800 but if TRFC sell their allocation I wonder if more tickets will be made available to them ? - no doubt some areas of seating will be declared void and the side block of seats covered.

You made the point about the safety on top of the pricing

Top tier 2200
Bottom 800
But they'll never give them the bottom and they'll not let Tranmere have the outside edges of the top either, so 1800 tops.

I heard that we're removing seats and leaving rusty vertical metal work spikes up to make them feel as at home as we were at Prenton Park.

Loss of revenue aside, it wouldn't be difficult to segregate the Yale stand to ensure the game passed quietly. Post match can easily be dealt with by holding away fans back for 5-10 minutes as often seen at other grounds around the country.

As you said though, the main issue is that we have a poxy 3 sided ground!!!

The safety committee have made that decision. Judging by the difficulty of herding the Tranmere fans in last season caused, you can understand their decision. Not great but that's where we are with a 3 sided ground. I'm sure they could be accommodated in the Yale, but with greater risk and resources.
