Well personally I think we should be averaging over 5k with the position we are in & you look at Tranmere's gates & their league position for most of season. We had 6k first game of season surely we should be getting that if we are top 3 going into last 3rd of season , we have fanbase to achieve this. UTST

Tranmere been allocated 1800 for this, would have thought they will bring about 1500 after their turn in form. Probably looking at around 7000 for this.

If the 'green netting' is to be used for this match, it should be in the GUS Stand where the Tranmere fans will be sitting, allowing the two sides stands to be fully used by home supporters. Why on earth we need this netting at all, when there is plenty of space between the stands, and CCTV available to the authorities (police). Just a row of stewards is good enough at Premier League games, where rival fans use the same stands, within feet of each other !. As to how many Tranmere will bring, a top of the table clash, just a few miles apart, they will probably sell most of their allocation, they sold out AFC Fylde 1500. Bring it on, and lets back the boys, and sell out both sides available to us.

Green netting is forced upon us by safety advisory group. Nothing we can do about it part of modern football, especially big games. If it stops trouble I'm in favour of it

Surely Premier league games are bigger than Wrexham v Tranmere.... they share same stands even and separated by one line of stewards.... ah yes now I remember our local inept police force think we have a larger "risk " element than West Ham and Millwall...... laughable...

If I were plod intelligence I'd have you on the potential violators list, in fact I've heard that you have been violated previously

Indeed. The Liverpool v Everton game on Friday night didn't seem to require entire blocks of seating to be abandoned and green netting all over the place. Interesting that the netting is considered to stop trouble; the Safety Officers have obviously forgotten Millwall in 2001.

But it's not part of modern football is it? Other clubs house fans in the same stand with far less netting than us. Seperate stands completely shouldn't require any.

Blaming the safety group is a kop out.. Don't other clubs have safety groups as well?

They do yes, but not all of them think and act the same.

The safety committee closed the old Mold Road stand after the Bradford fire, yet many other grounds had wooden stands that were still in use for years later.
