Three games survive the weather this evening, Guiseley v Gateshead is already off. Dagenham could be back up to fourth, at our expense, if they beat Boreham Wood at home, AFC Fydle hope to continue their recent good form at home to Chester, to close in on a play-off spot, the other being a mid table clash, Ebbsfleet home to Maidstone. A draw would be a decent result in East London, to maintain our top four place.

It's always welcome if other results benefit us.

However, if we are good enough to go up / make the play offs then we need to be reliant on our own form and level of consistency.

Plus I have a life long puzzle.
What gives more enjoyment ?
A Wrexham victory or a Chester defeat.

Got a feeling Fylde will make a late run at the play-offs. They have 3 games in hand on most and have four home games in the next two weeks. Reckon they might flash a bit of cash if they are in with a chance too.

I thought they looked a very good side when they battered us at their place in the league. The scoreline that day flattered us if anything. I'd say only Macclesfield, Sutton and Dagenham (considering they had 10 men) have impressed me more than them this season.

They must be the most inconsistent team in the league to still be sitting in mid table.

Not forgetting that when Fylde beat us 2 - 0 at their place in the league we were missing Pearson through suspension - he may be only one player but I think his influence is truly massive - that's my greatest fear - bringing in the odd new addition or not as the case may be is one thing - losing Pearson through injury or long term suspension could be catastrophic given the threadbare squad we are running with which so far has fared remarkably well.

To answer the above question, always prefer a Wrexham win, to a Chester defeat, not bothered about Chester's result to be honest, but as a club they are struggling big time, and relegation is a distinct possibility. But, do we want them to go down, a derby to look forward to, with big gates, is far more appealing than a game against one of the many small clubs from the South East and London area.
