The current owner has put 1.8 million of his own money into the club according to Stelling. Where the hell did that go! Or was it swallowed up by existing debt. Looks like they’re screwed

Whilst it's in poor taste I'm sure most of our fans would say the same if we were in their position. I think it'll be academic anyway as I reckon Solihull will finish above them.

Good post. Footy isn't a game at the top now and certainly not a game for the man in the street. Greed rules.

But Hartlepool and Wrexham have so much in common. We should do what we can to save them as people did for us.

Predicting a sell out for our game with them at their place
Free coach travel for Mboro fans, as Mboro used the Hartlepool ground when they went into administration

Lets hope they do sell out - good luck to them, but it would be nice to spoil the party on the day and come away with 3 pts

You could argue football has never been healthier in the UK. Attendances compared to the 1980's (pre sky) are massively increased across the board.

When's the last time a team in the football league folded? Maidstone??

Yes the distribution of cash is uneven, but I'm not sure we were all better off years ago.

I've been on the main Hartlepool fans forums. This £1.8m figure doesn't seem to be backed up by any real evidence at all. Reading between the lines whilst they have clearly been overspending on players it looks as if it may be more like a Hamilton/Moss situation as well.

Certainly quite a lot of them, probably most, are of the view any money should only go to the trust, and not be pumped in to keep the club going a bit longer whilst the current owners are in charge.
