Hardly.

As I've stated its obvious we need 4 strikers. I don't think anyone is denying this.

And its disappointing we're having to rely on loans. However George Miller wasnt a bad player, and Quigley has started unbelievably. So the fact its 'just' a loan isn't particularly valid. I'd much rather have Miller or Quigley than the dross we had contracted last season (Bakare anyone?)

But its the constant posting, moaning and bitching about it, that's just too much. Moaning that its going to cost us the title. And Dean doesnt know what he's doing. Its quite comical really.

The reality is, we're 3 points off the top, despite our struggles in front of goal this season, despite the fact we've only got 2 contract strikers(??) so the fact we seem to be be playing better scoring more, Boden is playing much better, we now have Quiqley, I don't think its unreasonable to be slightly more positive. Some people just aren't happy unless they're moaning.

Yes. Whilst he may have been 'lucky' with Moult/York didn't he also bring Manny in and look how he turned out.

DK has been very effective over the year - lots of changes first time around, fewer but better changes in the summer and now a tweak in the midfield, defensive cover and a forward in on loan.

He is obviously being more selective now which obviously has its pros and cons and this alone slows down the process. Hopefully if Wright is fit (which is why I hope he hasn't been selected recently) and with Deverdics and Quigley then that's 3 big players in this league.

Lets hope his use of the loan market is now effective to cover the 4th striker and possibly another midfielder.

It all depends on the extent of Quigley's injury, if he's out for a few weeks and we go into Saturday's game with two strikers then it's not the best is it?

Hi LWR,

You stated this on another thread:

"If you make the playoffs the loans can be extended.

Has always been the case."

I asked whether this meant that if we reach the play-offs the 93 day limit on 'emergency' loans does not apply, but you must have missed my question.

Is this the case? If so I think it would reduce the level of anxiety regarding us being short on strikers.

Thanks.

I agree, wasn't sticking up for Saunders just saying that he got some decent strikers in, as well as a lot of dross.

And I just noticed the comment about Wilkin doing well with strikers, yes that was true.
You could throw in Wes York as someone who had a decent goal return for a wide player!
