Mackreth hasn't really had a run of games. He's shown in flashes what he can do (Eastleigh at home), think with a run he would become an asset. Hasn't been helped by Rutherford turning into Luis Figo this season though.

I haven't, he is what he is, a pacy but inconsistent 5th tier winger but a useful sub in my view.

So you mean he has shown a flash rather than flashes

He is far too weak and easily shrugged off the ball, he cannot take a man on and beat him and his only attribute seems to be if you play the ball for him to run onto then he is OK. We need far better than that.

At this point of his career he isn't going to change or improve IMO.

He needs to show more than flashes.

I understand that wingers are quite often 'flakey'; but he really hasn't shown much, either when starting or coming on as a sub.

That's his main problem. When he came on against Ebbsfleet one of there defenders tackled him easily and just sent him absolutely sprawling to the ground. Seeing that up close and personal makes you realise how unsuited he is for this league.

He hasn’t deserved a run.

Fair play to Keates though, he’s tried to get more attackers on the pitch by playing Holroyd from the left like some kind of Karl Connolly reincarnation.

Mackreth and Boden have the same issue. Talented (reasonably) but pushed around too easily.

Boden is great doing neat touches 45 yards from goal.

Don't understand the desire to get rid of Hurst though. He is cheap cover, like Dibble I suppose, whereas the other two were meant to be star players and probably paid a lot more.

He can beat a fullback pagl, I’ve seen him do it.
In my opinion he should be in the team because I think he’d come good after a run of games. It’s probably because he doesn’t have Rutherfords epic work rate that’s kept him out.

If Keates was more of the attack first mindset no doubt he’d start more.
