Getting cover for the CB position is tough. Manny & Pearson are so good, that anyone who comes in knows they have no chance of a game unless we get injuries/suspensions. But at the same time, they need to be good enough to step into the middle of a promotion battle, just in case. At least good attacking players know that if they sign and make an impact, they're likely to keep their place.

I don't expect us to bring a centre back in. Hurst and Roberts can both cover in an emergency then we could look to bring in someone on loan knowing they were going to play. One game with Hurst or Roberts at CB then a good loan player is probably the best outcome of a potentially bad situation
