Not even an option now either, we can only spend what we have.

Only time will tell how wisely they bought.
You also have a thousand variations as has already been mentioned, money, location, family etc etc will play a part in signing. I'd rather spend wisely over quickly.

As for the rush in raising the Btb money, that's so you know what budget you have. No point ordering fish and chips when you only have money for crisps! (or vice versa)

If we don't sign anyone else between now and pur next game (which seems highly likely) we can still go into that game with every confidence we can come away with three points.

I agree with everyone else (and Keates too) thatbwe need some new faces, but the teamnas it stands is good enough to compete right now.

It's rarely worked that way for us, so I don't see why they should be any different.
let's go and spoil the party.

Besides the fact that speculating to accumulate got us into a situation where the club was dead in 24 hours had the fans not stepped in.
Keates has been pretty shrewd with the clubs money as he showed last season shipping Rooney and Tilt out to get money in he also sorted out the 30 clause nonsense Mills had saddled the club with.

Mackreth and Boden have been a disappointment and Massanka wasn't really worth another shot but compare this to who Mills brought in the season before.

As a manager he's between a rock and a hard place if he doesn't announce he's looking to recruit he'd be derided for being happy with what he's got. then if he goes public and announces he has targets he gets criticism if they don't come off.

All in all he's doing a decent job IMO.

If we have put in an offer to buy or loan another striker I wouldn’t mind seeing Jake Cassidy at the Racecourse . He has been plagued by injuries in recent years but proved whilst at Tranmere that he can score goals .Also , very strong and holds the ball up well.
