Default Racecourse Villains

Was thinking earlier who are some opposition players we have disliked over the years?

John Ruddy - Forget what he did
Jon Newby - Didn’t he give The Kop abuse when playing for Bury?
Grant Holt - Most recent goal celebration
Richard Broadie - Just because
Luton Player who bought chocolate bars with money thrown at him at our play off game

Nathan Stanton - Rochdale defender.

Must have been around 2007. Dale were 2-1 up and he was deliberately slowing the game down, spending an age to take every throw-in in front of the paddock and grinning at the fans whilst doing so. When the final whistle went he ran over to mimic the scoreline on his fingers. Everyone was going bananas.

Ex-Divvy John Murphy banging in a header for Macclesfield in front of the Wrexham fans at Moss Rose also went down like a lead balloon. That was a very bad day.

A much fonder memory was when Bradford came to visit the Cae Ras, and someone shouted at Dean Windass that he was "too old". Windass nodded knowingly and shouted back at him in his thick Yorkshire accent: "I know!"

Joslain Mayebi never endeared himself to the opposition.

How could anybody leave Nathan Blake off this list? He even got boo'ed when he played for Wales at the Racecourse.
