Bumped into a fellow fan in Rhos last night

15,000 feet up in the himalayas in Nepal. An old local chap selling me a bit of weed, it was strange he could speak english as only the young kids do. He got very excited when I told him he was Welsh and even more so when I told him I was from Wrexham. Turns out he was a gurkha and was based in Hightown barracks!! He used to go watch the games. He gave me the weed.

Backpacking round Australia in 2001/2002 I got chatting member of staff in the Mount Isa tourist information office and he was originally from Wrexham. Had been in Aus for 40 years and still kept an eye out for the results.

Walking around San Francisco a few years back in my Wrexham shirt a guy stops me and tells me he lives in SF but is originally from near Ruthin.

Working in Brazil 1994 and had a day off and went to Rio and up the hill to see the large cross of Jesus with a visitor from UK . You could se helicopters bringing tourists up from the beach to see the statue and the helicopters hoverered and turned around slowly so all passengers got a good view. As the helicoper turned we could see someone with a Wrexham shirt on and appeared to be shouting my name. Never found out who that was ..
