Re: Last game of the season - gonna be massive
The only negative for Fylde is they have had some poor results against lower sides earlier. Woking away Saturday is a typical conference horrible fixture. If they get a result there they will be a real problem for us and all other top end teams because they will go on footballing sides off the pitch at Kirkham. We were never in it in the league game but Pearson wasn't on the pitch and he's like 3 men for us. Absolute leader , massive defender and dangerous for every set piece. As a side issue Rowe and Quigley are very very similar players- there is no way both could play in the same side and Keates is not daft.

Re: Last game of the season - gonna be massive
Can't get too concerned about the last match - it's 'months' away.
We could win on Saturday and at Sutton but it's no good if we lose a load of games to lower league opposition or go on a poor run. I'm sure DK will approach it game at a time - if after 45 games we are 4 points clear at the top or 4 points adrift of the final play off spot nobody will care - however with the top 10 teams so closely together the potential for a must win game for one or both clubs could be massive. |

Re: Last game of the season - gonna be massive
A lot of football to be played between now and when we face Fylde. Yes they are on an impressive run but a lot can happen. Injuries loss of form suspensions etc.
I was away for the cup game where we were appently terrible but I fail to believe we could have been any worse than the league game their where we were simply dire from start to finish. Granted Marx struggled as we desperately missed Pearson. Coming out of the ground I got chatting to a Fylde supoorter who said to me how are you third? You’re the worst team I’ve seen this season (was hard to disagree after the performance) I said god knows and laughed them asked him who’s the second worst? He laughed and said you again in the cup last week. Haha Should have chinned him lol |
