i know its a silly saying.. but id rather us be here.. than financially implode to try escape.. as i think thats york and hartlepools downfall as i think they overspent to try for a immediate return to the leagues just relegated from

and due to them failing to do so.. they are in financial trouble as cant continue to fund at these levels.

chester wouldnt be suprised if similar level and due to lack of crowds attending games has screwed them
Well I would like us to get out this "hell hole league" before I leave this earth.
I also would have every confidence in our Trust being able to run a successful
team in the elusive football league two.

League 2 survival financially would be easy in the first year. Half a million plus from the league for starters and plenty of away support to boost the coffers and to encourage certain home "fans" to attend as well.

Just the slight problem of getting promoted first!

Yes. I think our model would work brilliantly in league 2 and league 1 for those reasons - significant extra income coming in to what is already a very well and efficiently run club. AFC Wimbledon, Newport and Exeter have all shown that supporter owned clubs work at that level.

Our finances are clearly not sufficient to sign enough quality players. Yet another January transfer window has almost passed without us strengthening the side. We have effectively lost 2 loan strikers and signed just one to replace them and that is it. Nothing else has changed; the difference from previous years is that we haven’t had to offload anyone so I guess there has been some improvement in the finances.

The Chester situation is showing that a club relying solely on attendances for income will find it all ending in tears.
