Yes - there have been some management errors since the Trust took over but none of those errors have yet threatened the existence of the club like those taken by previous owners.
Well said, sir!

But with Chester, with them pretty much entirely depending on gate revenue to stay afloat and their relatively small fan base, the fan owned model has failed them.

I'm more than happy with the model and I'm sure the naysayers wouldn't have too much of a problem if it managed us to get us to the hallowed ground of the FL.
Not sure I believe the model has failed them I think their board has. With a hardcore of around 1000 fans in this league without a benefactor means it’s hard to survive. They have miscalculated and overstretched. This league gets harder each year as more sugar daddy clubs come up.

Simple fact is that whoever 'invested' in the club would want a 'return' on their investment. Do any of the French wine and egg noodle eaters want to tell me where this 'return on investment' will come from and will it impact funding for the squad?

Correct, their budget for this season seems very high given their attendances, plus they were signing players not too long ago(Jordan archer) .

Chesters troubles are not inevitabilities of fan ownership. They appear to come as a result of successive bad financial decisions and no long term planning. The writing has been on the wall for a while for them. Even when they were coming up through the league's they were spending money like water, often when they didnt need to.
