The transfer window has been very good with 3 good acquisitions in Quigley, Raven and now Deverdics. Obviously the Wright permanent deal is also good news.

Hopefully Quigleys injury is just a niggle and he can recover for Saturday. Competition for places should now be a bit better which may improve some performances

Obviously on the downside we only have 3 forwards and with Quigley carrying this injury and I thought DK would have brought someone in permanent rather than take a chance in the Feb loan market.

Its going to be a rollercoaster of a ride from hereon in so hang on to your sanity
Sums it up nicely. We are stronger now but there is still a big question mark over scoring goals. Hopefully these 2 anticipated, new loanees will add some strike-power.

We need about 10 wins to make the POs, and about 12 to win it. Tall ask, but that’s what champions do; otherwise, we’ll be also-rans!

Ok
Arguably is right. Better than Pearson, Manny and Holroyd. Hmmm.

Your right of course.

Certainly one of our better players of the season. He's right there in the conversation anyway.

In the main what we've brought in has improved the team but im not sure we've got the strength in depth still to go for the title. Next season we maybe strong but there still a very good chance there will be teams coming into the conference with some serious money behind them which will make recruitment that much more difficult.

No idea what Keates has left money wise but it strikes me that the BTB hasn't been fully used.

I don't necessarily agree with this approach, but have felt throughout that Keates has been preparing for the real promotion push next season, not this.

He's said himself we are ahead of where he expected us to be and I believe this season his priority was to make us hard to beat.

This is maybe why he has been less focussed on the forward line, because as good as our January signings have been, up front we remain short of what is needed to be champions, and is why I believe play offs is probably the best we can do. Any loan signings in this area are going to be a gamble and experience so far is that those that do come down to our level are very much what it says on the tin - developing youngsters with nothing more going for them than potential.

Hope I'm wrong and we go on to storm the league or cruise through the playoffs, but if we don't, then next season I expect us to be the strongest we have been since coming down and, despite the challenge certain other clubs will pose, we will be the team they all will fear.

Decent window but we're still two players short of a title-winning side.

Still short on strikers. Should have been sorted in the summer, wasn’t so January was the chance to put right which he hasn’t as he only signed Quigley. DK said he wants 4 strikers, remember. Need the luck to stay with us for the next three months in avoiding injuries to key players. I don’t think the Jan business will win us the league but we should make top 3.

It has to be top 3. We aren’t winning 3 playoff games back to back, probably all away from home too. Our record away against the best sides is simply terrible.
