With the way Leeds constantly had to change their playing schedule to the whims of Sky with their chairman trying to ban them from the ground, I'm guessing that BT, as part of the rights package agreed by the league would see a club having no say in the matter. If we get promoted I'm sure this 'issue' won't come about again, are any league 2 matches televised live?

There's probably a difference. Clubs in the championship get big money from sky. What's the BT figure for non league clubs? £8k has been quoted on here. Look after your fans. After all, they own the club.
