Re: A squad to win the League?
Be extremely disappointed to finish outside the top 7 now from this position, can't see it happening though, we don't lose many.
Wouldn't complain with a 4th - 7th place finish, although the odds would be stacked against us with the new play-off format. Would be happy with 2nd - 3rd place, which is where I think we will finish. Would prefer to be champions though |

Re: A squad to win the League?
Decent squad but still lacking:
Proper back up centre half A commanding keeper A genuinely game controlling centre midfield player An absolutely reliable goalscorer The last two do cost a lot of money though |

Re: A squad to win the League?
For the first time in 10 seasons, I have the feeling with the new acquistions to bolster the squad, we have the opportunity to become champions. In the near miss seasons when Crawley and Fleetwood won the league, we were always playing catch up. Hopefully, we can now go on a good run and clinch the championship without going into the lottery of the playoffs.

Re: A squad to win the League?
If Tranmere and Aldershot implode I think it's ours....there's also usually one team who make a late surge, but this isn't your usual season.
Imagine if we'd had Quigley from the start of the season like Keates intended, I think we'd be a fair few points clear.

Quigley looks a real threat but I don’t think we can judge him on two games - Reid also looked awesome at that point. By a nailed on goal scorer I mean someone with a proven record of doing it every season eg Andy cook |
