If the signings and being top have lifted the fans you can bet it's boosted the team, morale must be running high within the squad, better feeling than being in a relegation fight and having to have a fire sale because you've got to big for your boots.

The squad is looking much stronger. We now have options at the top end of the pitch. Having built on a solid foundation we now appear to be bringing in match winners. Sutton away will be a big test and give us a barometer for the run in.

Every game's a cup final now.

Saturday will be a very tense affair if we don't get a first half lead.

It was a touch disappointing, if that's the right word seeing as we made the playoff final, to be part of a five way title race this time in 2013 but not get anywhere near the title. This time I don't see anybody doing what Mansfield did that time though and just win a load in a row. It really could be a nerve shredder.

Like i said on the supporters facebook page. 14 games need to be treated by fans and players alike as 14 cup finals.

Something’s not right here. Unless an optimist goes straight in at £100

This. I also find myself doing most of the things the OP said, I have looked at Sutton away as one I want to go to

Have also thought to myself "well at least we should be in the play offs" and also have been let down hugely by Wrexham over the years when in prime positions so I am playing it down and very nervous more than excited.
