Re: Seeds of the dreaded optimism are germinating
After the Barrow game i was wavering a bit with the usual ifs and buts and in the transfer window. Because DK's calendar is not the same as the rest of us then he pulls some rabbits out of the hat.
You know, i think this could be the year. |

Re: Seeds of the dreaded optimism are germinating
I'm feeling chilled as we have had that many disappointments over the last 10 yrs I'm trying not to get carried away even though I've a gut feeling we are going up I'm trying to not get carried away because if we stay in this league another season it will be painful when we have a great chance in an average league this year.

Re: Seeds of the dreaded optimism are germinating
Lads, I bring something to contain this rampant optimism and help to bring us down to our normal levels of pessimistic inevitability. Consider the following:
1. What if Quigley's injury is be more serious than we are led to believe and he plays little or no part in the build up? 2. The case for Deverdics and Franks improving our team has not yet been proved. They may struggle to make an impact. 3. If we lose our next two matches we may struggle to stay in the playoffs zone. 4. Tranmere, Sutton and Aldershot are looking strong and Dover seem to have got over their bad patch. Fylde could still be a dark horse for promotion and none of them are affected by the transfer window and can still strengthen their side. 5. What have the playoffs ever done for us? Remember the first leg at home against Luton? And who can ever forget Newport at Wembley? 6. We've been here before and failed. If you go to bed every night and think about the above, I am certain that the waves of optimism we are currently experiencing will dissipate and very soon will return to the normal level of a Wrexham supporter. Sleep well. |
