there is enough of them in the dugout .
That’s the thing - Darligton often isn’t in the dug out.
He watches from the gantry at the top of the MRS or up in the Yale Stand. He’ll communicate via radio (notice the earpiece Keates and now Davies wear).

He’ll come down maybe in the second half or if he feels something important needs to be instructed/shown.

He doesn’t spend 90 mins in the dugout.

We are probably going to need to win at least 2 games out of the next 5 games to qualify for the play offs. Will we be able to do this?

We're able to. Whether we will depends on whether we turn up and hoping the other team isn't at full throttle.

With a mixture of optimism and a bit of luck I think we can do the following:

Eastleigh (a) - draw
Dagenham (h) - win
Ebbsfleet (a) - draw
Leyton Orient - win
Fylde - loss, maybe a draw

Which would give us 76/77 points, which in the past has usually been enough for 7th place. Very optimistic but gotta keep going until it's impossible. Up the sexy shagging town.

Who knows where we will finish!! What I do know is the management and players undoubtedly want to finish as high as possible. Where we finish is where we are good enough to be. Wether thats 2nd or 8th.
Wasn't it stated that this was a long term plan to get the club back into the FL. Two-three years? Well if the improvement of the squad progresses like it has this season then promotion,if not this year is looking a distinct possibility next season.

It’s working isn’t it, but it must take him along time to get the same message through that we need to take off the goal scorer with less than 5 minutes left when losing or drawing... are they using a string across the pitch with 2 plastic pint glasses from Joeys Bar on either end.

The table at the end of the season will show how good we were.
Where has it been stated its a 2-3 year plan?
Improvement is unlikely under AD just as it was with AM.

Thats how I see it.

It's never been stated that it's a 2 or 3 year plan. That's the perception born out of Keates acquisitions and the 2 year contracts to the defence.
The Trust, on takeover, indicated a 10 year plan, 5 years to stabilise the club and become sustainable and a further 5 years in which they could realistically aim for promotion.
Looks to me that we are on the road to achieving the second aim but it's via B roads rather than the motorway.

I am not sure there was a 10 year plan?. My recollection is when WST took control we were top. And all the propaganda coming from the club was about top 5 budgets playing village teams and warchests. It's true that it was decided to pay off the debts but that was at cost to the playing side.Although to be fair because we were top and had at the time some good players it was assumed we would go up
