Table predictor for the rest of the season
A bit of fun/torture - I have us finishing 4th

Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I did it as honestly as I could and had us seventh.
Aldershot won it, Tranmere second, MAcc third, Sutton fourth, Boreham Wood fifth and Fylde sixth. God, I hope I was being downbeat about our chances lol... |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
On Saturday's performance I think seventh is a realistic assessment.
We are still left lacking despite what looked on paper like a good transfer window. We maybe didn't either account enough for those new players settling in, or perhaps gave some of them a greater fanfare than they deserved. |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
1 Aldershot 88

Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I'd imagine had we beaten Halifax, we’d be winning the league on most people’s predictors.

Possibly. Its going to be a rollercoaster that's for sure. I would still imagine there will be a few unexpected results along the way and I guess if some have predicted losses against Sutton and Aldershot then that makes a difference. One thing for sure is that unless we improve our performances and turn draws into wins then a play off place is the best we can hope for. We need Deverdics to gel and possibly Franks to offer us something down the left and starting this Saturday. This is why fans were disappointed we didn't do our transfer business early in Jan as ideally they would be settled in now. |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I have us top on 86 points with Aldershot on 85!

Good point predicting how the season will finish is pointless. How many of us predicted hammering Halifax? Posted via mobile theme |

Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I tried to do it as honestly as I could and was quite shocked when the final table came out as I tried not to look after each set of results so here goes. I had Macclesfield winning it with 88, Tranmere 87 Aldershot and Sutton on 86 and Wrexham 85, Boreham Wood on 80 and Fylde 79. I had us winning 8 drawing 4 and losing 1 of the 13 games left.

as honestly as you could and we only lose 1. LOL |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
1. Aldershot 91pts
2. Wrexham 87pts 3. Tranmere 82 4.Fylde 82 5. Sutton 82 6.Macclesfield 82 7. Boreham Wood 81 (8. Dover 81) 21. Solihull 22. Guiseley 23. Torquay 24. Chester I was probably being a bit optimistic though! |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
1 Aldershot - 90 points
2. Sutton - 89 points 3. Tranmere - 89 points 4. Macclesfield - 88 points 5. Wrexham - 87 points 6. Boreham Wood - 83 points 7. Dover - 83 points 21. Torquay - 41 points 22. Barrow - 38 points 23. Chester - 31 points 24. Guiseley - 29 points |

We’d have stood a better chance if we had!:) |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I had it very close with only 6 points between 1 and 8th
1. Tranmere 84 2. Boreham Wood 84 3. Sutton 83 4. Macc 83 5. Fylde 82 6. Aldershot 82 7. Bromley 79 8. Wrexham 78 21. Barrow 39 22. Chester 38 23. Guiseley 33 24. Solihull 31 |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
Last week i had us on 87 points so after Saturday reduce that to 85. Interestingly on RW Ratty said that he thought the winning team would have no more than 86/87 points, which i agree with. From memory (and for what it's worth) Sutton have the easier run in and Aldershot the toughest, plus they meet on the 3G pitch on the last day of the season. Could be an interesting day.

Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
As a measure, PPG table says:
Macclesfield 85 ----------------- Aldershot 83 Sutton 81 ----------------- Wrexham 79 Tranmere 77 Boreham Wood 76 Bromley 74 ------------------ Dover 74 Fylde 73 Everyone else 64 or fewer. Of course, the PPG is based on season results to date and does not take into account current form, or someone going on a run (or falling to pieces). |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
1 Sutton 84
2 Fylde 83 3 Aldershot 83 4 Macc 83 5 Tranmere 81 6 Wrexham 81 7 Dagenham 78 so like everyone else - its tight at the top I hope we don't need 3 pts on the last day of the season |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
So if we finish out of top 5 we will have to win 2 away games and then win at Wembley to be promoted. A tough ask..
|
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
Can I leave it till 10 o'clock next Tuesday.??
1 Sutton 84

Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
Great fun. As a happy clapper I had us winning it on 83 with Aldershot bottling it at the death and finishing on 82. Of course with everybody beating Chester 6-0 the table may be a bit skewed LOL (sorry Pete and Kev if you read this)
|
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I've got us having the chance to win the title on the last day, only to draw to Fylde and Tranmere to hammer Hartlepool 3-0.
That was all unintentional too. |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I have:
1. Tranmere 87 2. Wrexham 87 3. Aldershot 84 4. Sutton 84 5. Macclesfield 83 6. Fylde 82 7. Boreham Wood 82 ------------------------------- 21. Solihull 43 22. Barrow 41 23. Chester 33 24. Guiseley 31 Torquay pull off another great escape. |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I had Wrexham in 7th with Sutton, Aldershot and Tranmere all on top with equal points.
Had Wrexham drawing 7 losing 3 and winning 3. |

As we've lost 3 out of 28 it isn't such a stretch to lose 1 out of 13. Posted via mobile theme |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
Would be nice to know what Suttons intentions are. Read this earlier https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.chesterchronicle.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sutton-united-boss-fumes-over-14249284.amp that has them saying the 427k basic payment from the EFL would go on pitch replacement if they did get promoted, I'd they don't change the pitch and get promoted then it's all the way down to the Southern League.

Posted via mobile theme
He's right! We could easily go the rest of the season unbeaten in fact. But we need wins not draws to go up as champions, so will have to risk more. |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
I have us finishing 5th, top 7 and bottom 5:
Tranmere Fylde Aldershot Sutton Wrexham B Wood Macc bottom Halifax Torquay Chester Guiseley Posted via mobile theme |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
Scary. Despite a reasonable (considering our fixtures) 5 wins, 5 draws, 3 defeats, we come out 7th at the end.
Sutton 87 Aldershot 85 Tranmere 84 Boreham wood 84 Fylde 83 Dagenham 79 Wrexham 77 ........................... Dover 76 Macc 76 Bromley 75 I hope I am miles out with this. |

I think the pitch is also used by the community , like a lot of 3G pitches .Something they couldn't do on a grass pitch. |

Posted via mobile theme
Exactly this. I can't see why we are suddenly going to lose 3 or 5 of the next 13 games. Draws might be our undoing but I can't see us losing too many more this season. There are some banana skins still to negotiate but probably our hardest remaining game is the next one. |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
Sutton. . 87
Maccc. 83 Aldershot 81 Wrexham.81 Tranmere 79 Fylde. 79 B Wood. 77 Dover 75 I have us equal with Aldershot for 3rd spot meaning goal difference will be important Also have us drawing with Fylde last game so a win would see us above Aldershot |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
Tranmere 89
Aldershot 89 Macc. 89 Sutton. 87 Wrexham 86 Fylde. 81 Dover. 77 3 way tie at top, Tramps champs as strike force gets them up. |
Re: Table predictor for the rest of the season
1 Aldershot Town 46 26 13 7 76:41 35 91
2 Wrexham FC 46 24 16 6 56:31 25 88 3 Tranmere Rovers 46 24 14 8 80:43 37 86 4 Sutton United 46 25 11 10 69:46 23 86 5 Macclesfield Town 46 23 14 9 62:48 14 83 6 AFC Fylde 46 23 13 10 83:55 28 82 7 Boreham Wood 46 20 17 9 64:44 20 77 Would be heartbreaking, but reckon draws will cost us...:31: |
