Can we play him and Kelly

Lots of ?

Kelly plays everything at walking pace and does not have the killer pass, must be on one of the top wages so must be released at the end of the season.

All a bit harsh on Kelly

Somehow need to get him playing further up the pitch

Hopefully we may see Akil back this weekend

Kelly has been ok on the whole but not at the level we need for promotion.

Maybe he just needs a rest to recharge. No Harm in slotting Deverdics or Wright into the role.

Dunn

Roberts
Pearson
Smith
Jennings

Holroyd
Wedgebury
Wright/Deverdics
Franks/Deverdics

Boden
Quigley

Would form an ideal starting 11 for me for Saturday, injuries and fitness permitting.

Kelly had opportunities to play higher-up the pitch on Saturday; he does on occasions in most matches but seemingly won't run into the space in front of him.

In short he isn't what we all hoped he would be.

Hopefully we have an upgrade in Deverdics but he didn't cover himself in glory on Saturday either.

Agree re Davedics

We still need someone controlling central midfield @ a la Russ Penn, D Keates type of player

Bit harsh to judge Deverdics on just Saturday - he was cutting in a bit so can see the central midfield role suiting him. Kelly recently has not justified keeping his central midfield role.
Early season we progressed when Carrington was dropped for Wright, feel need another tweak now with Deverdics replacing Kelly. Kelly should have been replaced second half on Saturday but there was no option bar Hurst on bench. This highlighted the weakness in the squad with a clear need to get a central midfielder in on loan.

For me the bottom line for Deverdics is after a bright start, he went missing. Granted from where I was seated I couldn't get a full view of the game but he didn't seem to figure much at all. I think he does have talent and hopefully we'll see it in coming games.

Having seen him at Guisley and last Saturday , I dont see Deverdicks being a left winger at all ,as he does not seem to be able the beat his man , and you wonder if Keates has put him there because he was played left back /left side at Hartlepool. (in Deverdicks interview he stated he wants to play in the centre)
I think with a bit more confidence he will shine though
I would play Kelly left side and put Deverdicks centrally and Franks on the right.
