Re: Chester tickets
Won’t see a penny from me, I’d rather donate to a deserving charity.
To anyone thinking of donating I would say two things. Firstly, they’re not in this mess because of dodgy owners looking to strip their assets, the owners are the fans and they’re clearly incompetent. Secondly, charity starts at home. They’ve organised a fundraising game with some famous faces against a few ex-players. Last I heard they’d sold 1500 tickets, so if they can’t be bothered to back their own team when they’re in the shit why should we? |

Obviously our board and officials have met with their counterparts at Chester on many occasions, and I dare say they probably get on on a personal level. This is more than likely where the bucket collection idea has come from, because they understand the pressures of the day to day running of clubs at our level and sympathise. I dont know a single Chester fan. I don't work with any and I don't come into contact with any socially. Apart from the bellends I reckon most of us would (and some obviously do) get on with them because we have more in common than we would admit with any degree of comfort. The bellends are just that. They're not bellends because they support Chester, that's just a convenient bonus I'm not massively against our club holding a bucket collection, I chucked a couple of quid in at an away game of ours (Crawley? Down south anyway) a while back when a few of theirs turned up with buckets. Vaughan era. This time is different though, and while I genuinely wish the decent fans good luck in their efforts I'll leave it to them to save themselves.

Re: Chester tickets
Remember a couple of their supporters at our fans utd day and most of the ones who post on here seem decent enough as well as a few i have worked with in the past so will chuck a few quid in.Maybe getting old but dont have the same hatred for them nowadays and one knobhead ( ain't read it) posting shit on twitter doesn't represent the whole club.

Re: Chester tickets
I won’t be giving anything. This times it’s their own fault by making decisions they couldn’t afford. We’ve made poor decisions e.g. Hiring Wilkin and Mills then having to pay them off. I didn’t see Chester organise a collection for us to pay them off. So why should we have to help them because they have sacked two managers and had to pay them off. Hire a CEO which they couldn’t afford and now having to make him redundant. Offer players two year deals they can’t afford and then go full time which again they can’t afford.
I hope Chester survive but it’s their responsibility to sort out the mess they created. I just wouldn’t trust them to repeat the same mistakes. |
