In years to come people on the wrong side of this debate will look like dinosaurs, and that's because they are. This position doesn't stand up to even a scrap of analysis.

I think your Newport bias is evident. The W.R.U.now own Rodney Parade and spent a small fortune on replacing last season's quagmire with a hybrid Desso playing surface.

Pretend, plastic pitches are great for training on as they are so reliable. But football is a game invented to be played on grass, so plastic pitches have a limited use.

The pitch I witnessed against Leeds and Totttenham?

I think it needs another fortune spending again then.

I really feel for the Ground staff at Newport. It’s not compatible to have both Rugby and Football played on the same pitch. They are two greatly different games and rugby, generally, mucks the playing surface up for us.

they have obviously changed their opinion then! this was at the end of August

And it's still not that good. Behave yourself before accusing me of bias.

Best option here is, the purists continue to play the good old game on grass, whilst the 3G followers play in a separate league. Fair enough. I don’t the Snooker Federation looking to play on Formica, just because it’s more reliable and less maintenance!

The surfaces are fast. That's quite different from it being impossible to keep the ball in play. I've watched 15-16 games on 3G in the last 18 months and they are conducive to passing football and it's showing in the games. Again, I don't know what you're watching to compare.

It sounds like a great dismissal of 3G but again it's a non-argument. You haven't actually stated anything wrong with 3G other than it's not grass.
