Default Colin Grainger

I have read somewhere that Colin Grainger's autobiography is out soon. Does anyone know who the publisher is ?

A Yorkshireman who started his career with Wrexham youth and progressed to play alongside some great players in the England team.

It will be interesting to read - if mentioned in the book - of his brief 1st team appearances at The Racecourse under Peter Jackson.

A chap called Hyder Jawad has written it. His Soccerama publication (also worth a read) tweeted in January that the Colin Grainger book was going to print that month and order details would be available soon. Not heard anything since then though.

I'll drop him a line and will let you know if I hear anything back.

I had a quick response..

"The first draft has finished but it's now in the post-production stage. Not sure how long it will take from here but we're nearly there."

Good player Colin Grainger. Played outside left. Took full backs on with his pace and was a good crosser of the ball.

Dennis Grainger, his brother, played on Wrexham's right wing.

Colin was an OL and only made 5 appearances for Wrexham over 3 seasons ish.
Left the club for a fee and played over 200 matches for Sunderland and Sheff U. At that time also played for England alongside some England greats.

I was under the impression Dennis was his dad , and yes played for Wrexham and kept the Commercial Inn Town Hill. Colin DID play for us for a few games, He was a tall lad with ginger hair. I could easily be wrong. Apologies if wrong, it's a long long time ago.
