Re: All together now
The bookies have Tranmere odds on tomorrow night and that's how I see it as well.
Be very surprised if it is anything other than a home win, and ultimately also expect Tranmere to come above Macc come the end of the season. Yes it was a very good and surprising win for Macc on Saturday but Aldershot had a player sent off in the 5th minute. |

Re: All together now
Draw would be the perfect result provided we win at Solihull.
If we win at Solihull a Tranmere win is not so bad as it reels Macclesfield back and we still keep in touch. Basically as long as we win and Macclesfield don't it won't be such a bad evening. |

Re: All together now
I've got a sneaky feeling Macc will win it this season. They haven't had there normal fall away period like previous seasons. If they do win it then fair play to them as they will have done it on probably one of the smaller budgets.
Ideal result though for us would be a draw. If Macc win and we draw against Solihull and they win there game in hand it puts them 9 points clear of us and 10 of Tranmere. That's quite a gap to start trying to reel in towards the end of the season. Last edited by NottsRed; 19th February 2018 at 10.43:44.. |

Re: All together now
As much as I want Tranmere to suffer and stay down here a long time, if we dont win it, I'd rather they did. We've not beat Tranmere at home in 30 years so they're just as much of a bogey side as Macclesfield.
For those that think League results mean anything for the play offs; 2010/11. We took 4 points off Luton in the League and lost 5-1 on agg. 2011/12. We took 6 points off Luton and lost 3-2 on agg. 2012/13. We took 0 points off Kidderminster, and won 5-2 on agg. We took 4 points off Newport and lost 2-0 in the final.

Re: All together now
A draw; Red cards all round; and a few niggly injuries on both sides would be ideal.
Oh, but we have to beat in-form and mighty Solihull Moors to take advantage of the Battle of Birkenhead!
