Great news about Wedgebury extending his contract he has been our only decent midfielder all season, but I'm beginning to wonder if the contract negotiating is having a detrimental effect on team morale, imagine if you are working for a company on a contract one of your colleagues gets told he is having his contract extended and a payrise to boot, you are kept in the dark if you're going to be kept on, or told when the contracts up they will be letting you go, you're not going to bust a gut for the company you work for and look for another job, then jealousy rears it's head and the good teamwork goes down.

Just a thought human nature can be like that, maybe that's why Boden didn't play.

JND - you may be correct but I am not sure what the club should do ? We all agree Wedgbury is a great asset to the club and to secure him makes absolute sense. Boden is another discussion and I for one am not 100% convinced that we should renew his contract. Maybe his better thought process should be (and that of all the rest) "If I want a new contract I need to perform"

Yes I'm not blaming the club or Keates for this and I wouldn't keep Boden if it was my choice it's a catch 22 situation really but you get my point & I get yours about trying harder but we want players to have tried all season like Wedgebury not when contracts are up for renewal, remember a certain Rooney upped his game near season end.

Very good news, it says a lot when your better players want to stay.

I saw him in the club shop once, it was one of those awkward moments where two grown men just nodded towards each other and said "Alright" 😂

Congratulations Sam on earning a well deserved contract extension.

That not awkward. I would have said 'can we take a selfie together?'

I thought a certain Rooney scored goals throughout the campaign?
