Sounds like a manager with limited ability to me. Look at Paul Cook's Wigan side they changed formation 3 times against Man City. The tactical side of the game is one of Keates' major weaknesses imo.

Understand your original point but the fans have provided tremendous support this season and I am sure will continue to do so.

We need a bit of payback now though with DK and the players really going for it rather than a continued bore draw fest.

Haven’t Wigan lost their last two league one games ?

We haven't got the players to change formation it's a limited game plan and easy to defend against. We now have Quigley who bombing forward offers something different but still lack a strike partner to rough up defenders and more importantly a creative midfielder who keeps possession and unlocks a defence. We still have a chance though and a win Saturday will be a boost to players and fans alike I predict plenty of twists and turns before the end of the season. This season has been so much better than last and keates deserves some credit as we are in with a chance still

Good post BW. Let's take a reality check and appreciate what Keates has done with this side in a relatively short period. We will make the play-offs IMO, and then it's down to who we're drawn against, the run of the ball, and positive support from all of us.
We also need to realise that teams like Solihull and Halifax aren't going to roll over and make it easy for us - every team we play is trying to gain the same 3 points on offer!

Chester still need to off-load Jordan Archer. Him and Quigley would be a handful.

I thought we'd worked out that the players don't respond to rallying cries at this level , maybe that's half the problem . They have to take responsibility for something , they are professionals , also if a player isn't performing let's say as Jennings isn't , then drop him for Raven , they need to be kept on their game .
