I don’t think they’re too bad of an idea. You could argue that if they’ve made 30 appearances they’ve made a decent contribution to the team. The main problem last year was we were giving players 29 appearances in a relegation fight when the expectation was a play off spot. If they aren’t good enough they shouldn’t be starting anyway so shouldn’t get to that number.
