Default Barry Horne Q & A Evening

Hi all,

Apologies for wasting your time if this is not something you are interested in but I have been asked to promote a Barry Horne Question & Answer evening on the 14th of April at the Hafod Colliery Social Club, Ponciau. Start time 7:30pm.

There will also be a comedian performing and football memorabilia being auctioned off on the night.

Tickets are £15 each and will be on sale from this Saturday and are available from the Colliers Arms, Ponciau (LL14 1SE) or The Hafod Club itself (LL14 1RB).

I appreciate some people think he left Wrexham under somewhat of a cloud so I know it won't appeal to everyone, but feel free to pass this on to anyone who may be interested.

Thank you for your time

I don't think he would answer mine and many others questions, but good luck all the same.

Wouldn't worry about whether Barry Horne is popular or not or even the nature of his role as Wrexham AFC Director. It hasn't stopped WST from inviting Lee Trundle as guest speaker for the Player of the Season Dinner! His departure from the Racecourse.....after a promotion season and the Club's loyal backing in an unfortunate police matter .....following which he and his agent refused all calls from manager Denis Smith, was highly controversial.
Perhaps some polite , but straightforward , questions to both parties , with honest answers, might be appropriate?
Good luck on your night, hope it is a highly successful one.

He was an out of contract player who went to play for another club. No big deal. A big deal at the time of course, but water under the bridge now and he did nothing 'wrong'.

There are ways of doing these things. Andy Morrell also left at the same time and had the decency to keep Denis Smith fully informed. He won due respect for that. Trundle did a Mayebi and went awol. Agree it's water under the bridge but the facts are beyond debate.
