Outmuscled??? Or beat him. If he was outmuscled it must have been when I went for a pie.

I saw him dodge a few tackles and you can't do that in this league. Well you can if you want to play for Chester and that's the apex of your career. Needs to grow a huge set of testicles and he would be playing at a much higher standard.

I'd have him over Kelly and Rutherford. Looked class in bits today, Jester weren't attacking enough to let him flourish. We all know defending and sitting back isn't him.

And even today when you look at what he did the questions remain. In a ponderous game he was still pretty ponderous and didn't get involved in the areas where he could influence things. His talent was and is obvious but he's the ultimate luxury player and even when he was on it for us it was usually against the lesser lights. He's just not all that. He actually looked like it hurt him when he went off at the end though. No idea if that's because he got stick (which was a bit unfair), because he'd like to still be here (I bet he would) or just because his team lost.

He has his faults but never doubted his footballing ability, he was the only quality player on the field.

Be honest, you were all worried every time he got the ball.

Only because of that famous goal, he never really got in areas to hurt our defence.

Personally, I'd be clipping his heels every time he got the ball and laugh as he shrank from the game.

Great talent but massive lack of drive.

Something seriously wrong with Vose if he is playing for them! I hope he doesn't regret the missed opportunities in his career.

If he could get his head down and sort himself out then he wouldn't be playing in this league for a team destined for The Conference North.

Agree with a couple of earlier contributors. He was the best player out there. Chester’s problem was that they had nobody else although Astle was sound. We deserved to win and I can’t see the point of constantly claiming we are mediocre every flamin week.

We were mediocre today. And in the 8 draws in our last 12 games. Or were we great v Solihull, Halifax etc?
