It's clear he's a favourite of Keates' though. He gains selection regardless of performances.

Dunn 7
Roberts 6 Smith N/A, Carrington 6 Pearson 7 Raven 7 Wedgbury 8 MOTM Deverdics 6 Kelly 5 Rutherford 5.5 Holroyd 6 Quigley 7 Best game for Deverdics in a Wrexham shirt but still not convinced, wedgbury was immense in the second half won everything, much better in second half all round. |

Re: Chester ratings
Dunn 6 - Couple of decent saves but no confidence under the high ball.
Roberts 6 - Solid defensively but I wish to god he would overlap Rutherford. Smith - Not really on long enough. Pearson 7 - Solid, no nonsense. Typical Pearson. Raven 8 - A really clever defender. Not the biggest especially when moved to the centre but uses his experience well to win the ball and hassle players. Rutherford 5 - Lots of hard work but little product. So many opportunities to attack his full back but just didn't. Kelly 6 - Comfortable on the ball but needs to move it quicker. Deverdics 6 - An assist and a goal would normally get a higher rating but his general play was poor. Not a wide player. Wedgebury 7- phenomenal work rate and backs out of nothing but gave the ball away in dangerous positions a couple of times. Holroyd 6 - playing as a striker doesn't suit him. Have said it before. He drops too deep and leaves Quigley issolated. His best performances have been when there has been 2 strikers playing ahead of him. Quigley 8 - My motm. Worked his socks off when very isolated and again got a vital goal. Subs Carrington 7 - 1st game back after injury and was solid as well as atleast trying to get forward on his wrong side. Wright - Not on long enough. Posted via mobile theme |

Re: Chester ratings
Dunn: 6 - Didn't have much to do, made a good save from that shot from outside the box
Roberts: 7 - Had their winger in his pocket for most of the game, fully professional performance Pearson: 7 - His leadership is invaluable and had a good day at the office. Raven: 8 - Filled in for Manny well, had Akintunde well and truly dealt with. Smith: 5 - Good from what he had chance to do. Wasn't around long enough to merit anything more than a 5. Rutherford 5 - Not his best day. He's very average sometimes. Wedgbury: 10 - No reservations about giving him a perfect score. Didn't put a foot wrong all game and made some great tackles. Best player on the pitch. Kelly: 6 - Good day. His corners were decent even if nothing came of them and he did try to create. Deverdics: 7 - Wasn't much in the first half but his delivery in the second half was great and he got himself a goal. Quigley: 8 - Ryan Astles didn't have the answers to him and he scored. Can't ask for more from a striker. Holroyd: 7 - Not his best performance but still proved to be a very useful player. Subs: Carrington: 6 - He was good. Not spectacular but did his job. Wright: 5 - Hardly noticed him. Didn't do anything great, didn't do anything bad. Ainge: 5 - Unfair to give him anything but a 5 considering he had little time to make an impact. All in all, could do better but all that matters is the three points. |

He says he prefers the middle ,but would his poor work rate be a liability against better teams ? The answer may be to play up with Quigley in the same way that Boden does. |
