We should start selling false red beards in the club shop in honour of our midfield general. Wedge & Pearson are absolute rocks in our team. |

Re: The wedge tackle
Midfield general? 😂 hardest working midfielder we have maybe as he covers every blade of grass, but general? I wouldn't say he was a leader we lack a proper midfield general like Keates was when playing.

Re: The wedge tackle
The ref should have given a Yellow Card for a reckless challenge but decided against it, probably because it was so early in the game. Only mistake he made, and otherwise had a good game.
As for Wedgbury: other than the occasional red mist, l think he’s a good man to break down the opposition’s play - something we’ll always need - but he is no general to make things happen. Ferguson was probably our last midfield general, albeit I think DK was a good, tenacious midfielder, too. Some folk claim there is no place in the team for a creative midfielder like Vose but I would counter by saying we’ll always struggle until we find that man.

Re: The wedge tackle
Quite like this. Reservations about the right side though. I'd prefer Roberts at right back, he's more solid than Carrington and has proved he can get forward in recent weeks. Carrington, on the other hand, rarely plays a forward pass. Wouldn't mind this if we had a recognised winger but a winger, Wright isn't. Do like this set up though but think it's too complicated after playing 4-4-2 for the vast majority of the year sadly.
