His Macclesfield performance will long stay in the memory, but crucially he is a Remainer. So on that basis I am sad to see him go.

Not sad to see him go, but with Manny going down in the Chester game, Jennings suspended for one more game, Roberts on 4 yellows for the season and Pearson two yellows away from suspension we couldn't have picked a worse time to get rid of a defender who can slot in at right or centre-back.

That said given the off-field antics of Hurst I can understand it.
