Keates is now favourite on skybet at 4/5. Viveash has now risen to 13/8. Worrying but hopefully nothing in it.

It will be because someone has put £20 on Keates. Thats how the bookies work for lower league clubs.

Cant see Walsall paying compensation to us when Viveash is available for free.

Don't be surprised if Keates goes. If Walsall want him and he is willing to go, they will pay the compensation.

Totally disagree, he is only 28 and in the prime of his playing career. You get one playing career and he needs to make the most of it with the rest of his life to become a manager if he desires.
I also have doubts about anyone in a player / manager role. There are such few examples of it working. Do you take part in training or do you run and observe sessions, if you don't take part how do you keep your personal fitness up, if you do take part are you able to see what is going on in an objective manor
If you listen to DK interviews he talks about working very long hours on this job and even sleeping in his office due to working round the clock, that amount of work does not allow for the RandR that players need to get in between training sessions.

I wouldn't touch that Keates with a barge pole - its been downhill all the way ever since Gary Mills left - Luckily for you Gary Mills is still available and would require absolutely no compensation - although I'd put a lock on the sherry cabinet in the boardroom
