yes, and more so at the lower league levels than at the top levels as they don't have the knowledge/inside track in quite the same way.

but 1-2on are short odds, and i think it's safe to say Keates is a very serious contender for the job.

Real chance they will go internal for Viveash but I think if they go external Keates will be the choice and am pretty sure he'd take it/want it if offered and that the only question then would be how much compo we'd get/if Darlington went with him.

More chance of Davies going than Darlington isn't there? The latter is only doing his job with us on the side because he's from the area and a fan and could surely walk into most bigger clubs' set ups and improve them.

Not really as they’ve seen what he’s done here whereas we popped his management cherry and took a gamble.

He’s done a good job here; turning us from mid table borderline relegation candidates into play off contenders. Plus he’s young and he’ll be cheap.

I don't think he would go until the end of the season, if he decides to go.

Potentially, although it is unlikely Walsall will go down, we could be playing in the same league as them next season, and if we were due to our higher crowds (bigger than Walsall's despite being two leagues lower than them, and them playing against the likes of Bradford, Blackburn, Charlton, Portsmouth etc.) and therefore higher potential, you would expect that Keates would rather be managing us.
