Morrell until the end of the season would be a good solution. He has been in this situation before and knows how to motivate a group of players. He also has a point to prove. We can then go for a permanent manager in the summer.

Darlington could have a say on who will come in, considering he does the coaching badges so may put someone forward to the club that has impressed him. My no1 choice would be Askey but doubt he will leave Macclesfield now and we've turned him down on the last 2 occasions.

This couldn’t have happened really at a worse time and be more awkward for the club. Depending on what compensation we get I’d say short term Morell or long term and it’s a push but try and tempt Askey here.

Yup Adam Owen for me but one thing is for certain, we are a better proposition than last time we were looking for a manager. So hopefully we arn't looking in the bargain basement for our next leader.
Best guess the board have been caught cold here as I don't think anyone saw this one coming.

He's said he'd be up for whatever job he felt was right for him and working for a Welsh fan owned club could well fit in with this. Obviously it's a massive long shot and tbf to the lad, could you imagine in the space of 3 months going from within a whisker of the Wales job to the Conference. Got to be worth a phone call though

Agreed, he was in for the Oxford job not long ago, still a drop but don’t think he’d be against the idea. I’d let him whack me with a golf club whenever he wanted if it swayed his decision.
