The team is strong enough mentally to make a successful play off birth and then who knows...this may give them the mettle to grasp the bigger prize of promotion!! I think Carl Darlington may well take the reins temporarily and complete the good work done so far and we could then recruit a new permanent manager in the summer......for either League 2 or the National League....we are still a good proposition!

This no room for sentiment in football.

A Walsall fan has said he has been seen at their ground, so perhaps the coach he isn't on took a detour?

Must be some junior school kid with blonde hair wagging off school that's got on the team coach then ?

Agree with most of this except we need to recruit a new manager very soon as there are player contracts to sort out plus all the coming and going getting ready for next season .

I am torn between being very annoyed that Keates is such a little creep but on the other hand his football style has not been good to watch with weird team selections and so many games drawn when we should have won based on that I am happy to see him leave.
I don't wish him well especially if he has hurt our genuine chance of getting promotion this season !

On reflection , I couldnt honestly see him being in charge tomorrow ,if it was known he was set to cut us adrift

Grasping at straws ... Here are some positives...

1. We might be able to get a pre-season friendly against Walsall
2. We won't have to suffer those interviews again.
3. We may be a more entertaining team to watch
4. Kelly might be moved on
5. When we sign players next season they won't be "in the building"
6. Compensation payment of some kind received instead of paid.

That's all I can think of for now.

Hardly Lucrative to us... FC United would bring more.. or arger attendance at their place. their attendances are poor considering L1
