Keates has been a well respected footballer throughout the leagues and would of gained numerous contacts through ex managers/players who are now managers and coaches through all levels where as Andy Davies has been a local youth coach
But appointing someone now won’t changed anything, in Darlington alone we will have a stronger technical mind towards coaching and probably one of the highest qualified coaches in this league. I don’t see a valid reason to change anything currently as it could go either way but if we stay as we are we will be in the play offs.

The best scenario would be Bellamy to come in to work with Davies and Darlington until the end of the season.

Unlikely to leave Cardiff were he has full time employment for an 8 week stint up here.

He knocked Oxford back because he did not want to mess Cardiff about.

Amazing that after what we've seen that people still think it's about a bulging CV and contacts book. If anything the tide is turning towards good coaching and fresh ideas and our recent experiences should make that a no brainer. I'm open minded whoever gets it as long as that person doesn't think they can rip up what has been done in the last 18 months and there's no point flattening anyone who might know their onions.

Agree. Best scenario. It will give the squad and supporters the boost we would need. Hit the play offs with momentum.

I too am very open-minded here, but my gut says go with someone young and ambitious. :)

Cardiff gave him permission to speak with Oxford and have said they would not step in his way if a management role was offered to him.
