As indicated in previous thread there was a hostile atmosphere at St James Park, one has to remember that previous seasons Wrexham had beaten Newcastle, Sunderland and though not strickly a Geordie team Middlesboro, so it was no surprise that the whole of Geordie land was willing Blyth to win.

Remember getting to ground about 6 15thinking we are really early... closed the gates about 6 30.... the whole North East against us... only time I have seen women thrown out of the ground for fighting...then the ref (same one as the first game)gave us that penalty... thought he and us were going to get lynched...happy days
