I’m hoping Deverdics does read the thread. I am desperate for him to do well, maybe it’s because he has come from a team who were struggling at the time both on & off the pitch.

Possibly. My point was more to do with Holroyd and the effect on team spirit it may have. Players thrive on confidence and support from the stands.

I was delighted when we signed Deverdics as I thought he would help us tkick on but somehow it hasn't happened and i have been disappointed in the two games I saw him at Sutton and Woking. In the latter his dead ball kicking was really poor. here's hoping he finds his feet at Bromley on Friday, assuming he starts.

Basically he’s looking like a poor man’s Kelly. Kelly does everything he does but better and has a great work rate. I’d be inclined to give Kelly another year, I think we would struggle to find another player of his quality so it’s a case of be careful what you wish for.

Sometimes one can make their mind up about a player too hastily, whether it be good or bad. I've seen two hours of him and sadly I think he is a bit poo, not much better than that bloke Morrell signed from Shrewsbury in the Jan window. I hope he proves me and many others wrong.

It worries me that he is 30 ,and has less than half the go in him than Kelly at the minute. Its not like hes got age on his side
Like you , I hope he proves us wrong , but his sharpness ,and ability ,have been sadly lacking the past few games, (apart from his goal at home the other week) and it does make you wonder ,just how driven ,he and Franks were at Pool
