Ok the foundations are crumbling away and the barriers not fit for purpose those that are left, I'm guessing that the covered area stanchions are not rotten why can't we use the concrete and previous foundations as a new foundation and concrete straight on the top? The previous Kop was not sloping enough anyway, then if of course the stanchions just need painting with red lead and a new roof sort out the toilets and turnstiles it wouldn't cost a massive amount.

I'm guessing it's undoable but I'm interested to hear views off those more in the know.

I think at the moment the consensus is that this is a one off chance to build a multi purpose facility which brings income into the club, that would require a complete demolish and rebuild. Obviously that requires serious funding that we don't currently have and don't know where to get it from yet and if it is unavailable then a patch up as you suggest may become the reality. It would be a shame to lose the chance to gain other revenue streams from the mop

My Dad used to tell me stories, of when he was young, chucking clinkers in the general direction of the. ref...In the 1950s, they concreted on top of the clinkers.. Imagine that being allowed today....No chance...
Only one thing to do with the old girl now... Put her out of her misery....

Well said thinking outside the box , it’s about time the council started to come up with new ideas , make it work for the whole of North Wales

Just dismantle the building on the Kop asap, yes it might cost now but it will save money in the long run as the cost for doing so is only going to go up!

Quay Red, Haruki thanks for the replies I just feel that the longer the Kop is left, the more the cost increases year on year and will never be done, it's becoming like a monument to the great sides of the past.

Agree. The cost can only increase with time.
If there is any ambition to replace the old girl then we should be looking at ways and means of achieving this even if it's done in stages.
It would be a bonus if we could lease the land to the rear of the kop for access and development.

Alternatively we may need to look at a much more ambitious plan and look at a new ground.

Yer cos a new empty stand whilst adding debt to the club will get us promotion won't it?! It's on the pitch that needs to improve.
