We spent a big wedge on Deverdics didn’t we? Hopefully some of that will bear fruit soon. Keates was cautious with the budget. That’s a good thing in my view. He still spent it though. On a smaller but more expensive squad. I’m pretty sure your version of the striker story is inaccurate in so much as his club simply wouldn’t sell him to us. End of. It wasn’t for want of trying I’m hearing.

I think everyone should just ignore Foxy. He does this all the time.
I think that on the occasional days he went to school he was at the head of the queue when they gave out lessons in tedium. Bless him.

We all have to be realistic whatever league we are in - our spending is finite and unlikely to be speculative (see Chester to see what happens if you follow that course) . Foxy has made that point and though I do not agree with the model his point is fair and for me at least made honestly and while accepting others view which is the whole point of a forum.

Good post.

Depends how much he was going to cost Dixie? I'm guessing you mean Cook? Build the budget welcome as it was 50k won't go far with transfer fees and the players contract on top + we needed a lot more players of reasonable quality in the Summer, also no doubt the agent of the said player would want his cut, agents are killing football. I think Keates instructed his agent to tell Walsall he was interested in the job to.

Just to like to echo the thanks to those running our club. Seems to me though that we have a great opportunity over the last few home games to both bring more cash in and boost our promotion chances. It's easy really get to the 'course, back the boys, bring a friend, bring a relative, bring a realative's friend, bring a friend's relative, you know what I mean

I think the board are doing a tremendous job on the whole but from what I heard, the striker was told not to get his hopes up about coming here, becasue we wouldnt pay the fee, and for me if this is true, that refusal to pay for quality will bite us in the arse. We'll be down here for even longer unless we pay for the quality you need in front of goal imo.

Not sure what you mean, are you referring to ours? If so, they're on page 18.

Lots of small companies file accounts without a P&L by the way.

EDIT: The P&L is only available in the accounts posted on the WAFC website as they don't form part of the statutory financial statements. So, if you viewing these accounts via Companies House, that's why you can't see it.

Anything remaining in BIB might come in handy if there's to be any chance of retaining Quigley at the end of his loan spell.
