Problem here is get the feeling/impression that Carl Darlington was extremely influential, more than Davies in the Keates management team. Late substitutions continuing and mostly similar team selection post Keates hint at this. In reality might well be case that no. 1 had to be Davies with Darlo only part time. Will not help controlling players for example if players look up to Darlo more than Davies, undermining him possibly in addition to his zero managerial experience. Darlington might well be pulling the strings but hardly an ideal situation when allegedly only with us 1.5 days a week. Players from part time sides even would expect to see their 'boss' more often than that.
Other tricky side to this is that any potential new manager might feel uneasy with the Darlington role-a key cog only part time but carrying a lot of clout seemingly. Difficult decisions ahead for the board and could well do with guidance from appropriate people be it officially or unofficially. Fylde win tonight and outcome of the Ebbsfleet match might escalate the urgency too as play offs prospect look decidedly rocky.

No shots on target at home is a disgrace and it’s not the first time it’s happened.
I can't remember many games this season at home when we have actually took the game to the opposition from the off.

At home to Orient and scored in 1st minute and then sat back and we got a draw.

We also didn't do that frustrating KO move from Wedgbury.

If they insist on doing that, why not pass the ball back to the keeper for him to boot it forward? That would at least allow us to get more bodies forward to challenge for the ball, should it stay on the pitch.

How many of us would have taken our current position with 5 games to play at the start of the season.

For all the if's and but's we are in the play off places with a real chance of being in the play offs for the first time for many a season.

Lol

Just a big lad. Who was just the best player on the pitch. Who was just light years ahead of wedgbury.

When Christian Smith came here with Maidenhead he was just a big lad in midfield. Murtagh was so much more.
