We need to abandon this ridiculous notion of 4-4-2. Let's play 4-3-3 with a 3 of Kelly Wedgebury and Carrington. That way we Might actual keep the ball instead of hoofing it.
Its been said many times before but ill say it again. Carrington should be never played in the midfield. End of.

You could have Wright in for Carra there but from what I've seen he's not much of a passer and thats what we are missing. They were so much better than us with the ball in tight spaces and under pressure.

We need a CM that can hold the ball and look to dictate a bit of passing. It's been missing all season.

Kelly is the best of the lot at this. He gives the illusion of being a midfielder but generally he wants the ball in areas close to the back line where he is not under threat. He buzzes around seeking areas where he can avoid being in the thick of it. Quite an art.

To many players who don't deliver in the team today.

Boden,Franks and Mackreth to lightweight for this league.

Why is Akil Wright not in the team

352 all the way for me. Love the extra man in the middle for control which we never seem to have

Smith, Pearson, raven
Jennings and Rutherford wingbacks
Wedge, Kelly, wright
Quigley and Holroyd

Doesn't matter how you shake it up or fiddle with formations, we haven't got anyone who can make a telling pass or dictate the midfield.
We were outplayed yesterday , Very few players looked interested and only made real effort in a desperate last 10 to 15 minutes.
Personally thought that Boden did OK. Made space to receive the ball, won it a number of times and laid the ball off well, but for Quigley going a little early we could have been level when he played a lovely reverse pass through the defence.
Holroyd was pretty anonymous but he must get really p!ssed off having to track back to make up for a non existent midfield.
