Basically I don't care what happens to Chester although for the sake of good rivalry and banter I'd have preferred them to stay in this division. What is painfully obvious is that being in a division with Stockport County, York City, Southport etc as well as new emerging and well backed Clubs, there is no easy way out of it.

I think it will be a very long time before we next see Chester in a league game at the Racecourse.
Good. Hope they drop a couple more leagues to where they belong

I done get why when our side is dogshit fans are wetting themselves over what's happening at Chester, if we carry on in this league a few more seasons it could very well happen here.

But what else can we do? We appoint managers who sign players and we hope they’re good enough.

What we can do is support this club and support the players and officials running it because without that support we are nothing.

If you can’t see why there is genuine concern for another fan-owned club, you should get your head out the sand. I’d say the club needs to make a managerial appointment sooner rather than later to appease the supporters though.

They signed players on two years deals on good salaries(we even tried to sign one of them!!). Crowds have dropped below that required to cover on going costs - clearly there's more to it than that. But its easily done, fans only put up with poor results for so long. They have won 4 home games since Dec 16 . I came away from our game yesterday peed off, not sure I would be that happy if our results matched theirs . Ok I have a season ticket and the club have my money, but that's not my point. The pay on the day supporters may well then stay away and crowds start to drop below the breakeven level.
Monetary issues can develop quite quickly at this level - made worse by poor management/ board decisions - we seem to have a solid professional board, so I worry less.

I'd rather be in our position than theirs. My brother in law is a Jester season ticket holder, has been for 30 years plus. He's fed up with the back office issues and just wants to pay his money and turn up to see a reasonable team that can compete. It is supposed to be something to look forward to each or every other Saturday.
To me its sad to see their plight. I for one enjoy our games - good crowd, lots of banter and of course 3 pts !! We wont see them next year.

I'm not seeing concern for a fellow fan owned club I'm seeing gloating that's the point of my post, if you read it properly especially the last bit, a few more seasons of negative football down here and it could happen to us.

I don't understand the type of football fan that wouldn't gloat over their main rivals getting relegated?!?!

Solidarity, my arse!

Main ""Rivals"" I don't understand the gloating because we won't have a derby to look forward to if Tranmere also go up and we stay down, that's good money from 2 home games gone as well as the banter.
