Indeed. Both lemons, sadly we are stuck with one next season. What was Keates thinking?

Do you think their mother told them when they were little not to go anywhere near them, it could be dangerous.

We may be 6th, but in all my 64 years of watching our great club have I ever seen such negative stuff.

Just shows what a waste of the budget the majority of our squad has been. I reckon a fair few are wage theives and vastly overpaid compared to when you look at players in other teams in the top half of our division and what they offer.

I think it fair to say, Keates did not spend our money wisely.

The problem with all our managers is that they are constantly in a total rebuild situation, Keates in particular. So when they have to sign a lot of new players it’s inevitable that there will be be a higher number of unsuccessful signings. Their problem is compounded because they haven’t got a budget to sign the top quality players at this level. There is an argument that we should go part time and sign the best part time players rather than the left over full timers. I’m not keen on the idea, but that is where the club will end up, so maybe it’s better to get there sooner and get on with it.

Two good signings from however many isn't too impressive. That's why i think it imperative our next manager is someone with contacts and from outside the club. We need to spend what we have on good FL players, have some good loanees at minimum cost, and a few youngsters. Otherwise we will never be promoted.

Nearly everyone here agrees that changes to the midfield are needed but all the central midfielders (4 of them), bar Kelly, are contracted for next year. We are going to try and offload first if we are to improve this area.

Hoprfully the next manager will be from outside the club because if that’s not the case it can only be Darlington or Davies. I do disagree with spending money on FL players - they are safer options but they cost more. With our limited budget the only way we can be succesful is by getting a manager who can cheaply sign the best non league players - there must be lots of Curtis Tilts out there, enough to make a whole team.
