Default BTB Questions

It all seems to have gone very quiet regarding Build the Budget presumably because it is now too late in the season to use any remaining funds or it's all been spent.
Like most fans I contributed and wonder if anyone can answer some of the following questions...
How much have we raised to date?
How much of the fund has actually been spent.. and do we know what on?
If there is any money left then why hasn't it been used for the purpose intended? (to strengthen the squad and improve our prospects for promotion this season).

BTB part 1 raised £101k and has been spent on transfer fees bringing in players and also on wages to allow us to bring in a better quality of player. Details of exactly which players and how much are confidential for obvious reasons.

There is only a small amount left from part 1 which is why the club have started BTB part 2 in the hope that we can add to next seasons budget in a similar way.
I have a raffle going on another thread for 4 signed shirts and there will be plenty of more fund raisers over the summer.

Thanks for this. It's obviously a vital part of the ongoing budget and I look forward to contributing again next year.. come what may!

Whilst the idea of BTB is great to raise funds, but sadly it has been given to a
first class spendthrift who was allowed to give it away like a tube of smarties.

Whilst I think Keates has spent the budget very poorly (look at what we get for our money a boring dull group of players who cannot even do the basics technically) if he couldn't sign a striker with an extra £100k of BTB money then a good job he is gone as there is no way we will raise that much next season. Therefore next season, one can assume that the overall budget will be lower than this season.

Franks is a real disappointment as he has good pedigree but clearly is only here for a short term pay day and has no commitment.

Deverdics I still feel we could get something out of in his best position but he needs to start showing more heart and effort to endear himself.

Need a midfielder who can play football and dominate the game. Also need a big, strong centre-forward who can batter defences, hold the ball up, and score goals.

Might need more than £100k for the next BtB.

No chance alot of people's goodwill is drying up.

We need a manager who can get more out of less, obviously Askey's name will always crop up as an example.

Sorry Pagl. Your idea is a really good one and your efforts are terrific. But enough is enough. I can’t give any more money to BTB and I also will not be buying a season ticket. We are all throwing money into something that isn’t working.
